Product Introduction:

Interchangeable ARRI PL mount for Z CAM cameras with the Flagship body. It replaces the factory EF mount and opens the camera up to standard PL cine lenses — from rental prime sets to zooms. The mount screws directly onto the camera body with four screws, making it a native solution with the correct flange distance, not an adapter.

Together with the EF mount, PL is the only Z CAM mount that has a slot for a clear filter, and with it support for the optional Z CAM eND module — an electronically controlled ND filter with a range of 1.7 to 6.7 EV, operated directly from the camera menu. That is essential when working with fixed-aperture cine lenses, where exposure is otherwise adjusted only with a mattebox and ND filters.

• • Longer construction than EF — on the E2-F6 and E2-F8, the camera weight with the PL mount is listed as 1160 g versus 1090 g with EF.

Compatibility: Z CAM cameras with the Flagship body — first generation E2-M4, E2-S6, E2-S6G, E2-F6, E2-F6 Pro, and E2-F8, second generation E2-M4 Mark II, E2-S6 Mark II, E2-S6G Mark II, E2-F6 Mark II, and E2-F8 Mark II (including the PixelLink "s" variants); for the Mark II series, Z CAM lists the PL mount directly among the optional mounts. It does not fit the Z CAM E2, E2C, or E2N / E2N Mark II — those have a fixed Micro Four Thirds mount — nor the P2-R1 PTZ cameras, which have an integrated lens. Watch the sensor coverage: most PL lenses are designed for the Super 35 format, so on the full-frame E2-F6 and E2-F8 cameras you need to work in crop mode.
