Product Introduction:

The RCP-PLUS is a remote control panel (RCP / CCU) for matching and shading the image of multiple cameras at once. It typically sits in a control room or an OB van and lets the video engineer make all cameras in the scene look the same — white balance, black level, gamma, exposure, iris, shutter, saturation and hue are adjusted using rotary knobs and the touchscreen, either globally or for each camera individually.

It connects to cameras in two ways: via VISCA over IP over LAN (RJ-45, including PoE power) and via VISCA over RS-485 using a standard three-pin XLR cable at up to 300 m. Both paths can be used at the same time — up to 70 cameras in total.

It is not a joystick PTZ controller: the RCP-PLUS has a Zoom/Focus page and can also control pan/tilt, but for PTZ camera moves the manufacturer recommends a joystick, i.e. the VS-PTC-200 or VS-PTC-300. The RCP-PLUS is their companion, not a replacement.

Compatibility: Marshall lists it as an accessory for the CV320, CV366, CV368, CV370, CV374, CV376, CV380-CS, CV420e, CV504, CV504-WP, CV508, CV520, CV566, CV568, CV570, CV574 and CV574-WP cameras. For control via VISCA over IP, the manufacturer specifically names the CV574, CV570, CV374, CV370, CV420e and CV355-27X-IP; the other CV3xx and CV5xx series cameras are controlled via VISCA over RS-485. Marshall does not list it among the accessories for the PTZ cameras (CV612, CV620, CV625, CV630, CV730) — those are served by the VS-PTC-200 or VS-PTC-300.
